Promoting Literacy Through Music, Movement and Songs
As you hear the words and actions in songs,create picture
cards,finger actions, and a unique way to move as the songs suggests
When dancing to a directed song, develop a full body dance/movement to enhance the concept behind the story of the song.
Create props (puppets,hats,wands,socks,shoes) that are contained in
the story or song
Observe children to see how they
interpret stories or music with the
senses- Language,Visiual,
Auditory, or Physical
Final note: Have fun..and listen closely..there may be something to that
song, book, or dance.
